3-Year-Old Hugo Medina Among 8 Injured in Modesto Car Accident on Grayson Road near Vivian Road
Modesto, California (April 1, 2019) – A 3-year-old boy was one of two children injured in an alleged drunk driving accident that also left six adults nursing injuries on Sunday afternoon in Modesto.
According to the CHP, the accident occurred on Grayson Road near Vivian Road at about 1:30 p.m. March 31.
CHP said a 1994 Mazda B4000 traveling northbound on Vivian Road crashed into the driver’s side of a 2008 Saturn Outlook that was westbound on Grayson Road. The impact caused the Mazda to overturn while the Saturn traveled off the side of the roadway and slammed into a metal fence.
Hugo Medina Injured in Modesto Crash
Hugo Medina, 3, was one of the passengers in the Saturn. He was taken to Turlock’s Emanuel Medical Center with minor injuries. The four occupants of the Mazda and the other two occupants of the Saturn were taken to hospitals for treatment of minor-to-major injuries.
The driver of the Mazda was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He may also be facing other charges of illegal gun possession.
The crash is under investigation.
