Hugo Hernandez ID’d as Victim Killed in Orange Cove Car Crash at Manning and Jacobs Avenues
Orange Cove, California (August 8, 2020) – Hugo Hernandez, 18, of Reedley, has been identified as the person who was killed in a fiery two-car crash on Thursday evening in Orange Cove, police said.
At about 5:15 p.m., on August 6, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly accident at the intersection of Manning and Jacobs avenues.
The CHP said a vehicle was traveling southbound on Jacobs Avenue when it allegedly failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with another car that was traveling westbound on Manning Avenue.
Following the collision, the two vehicles went into the shoulder, crashed into a telephone pole, and caught fire.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.
One other person was transported to a hospital in an unknown condition.
Further details about the crash were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
