Driver Severely Injured in Hughson Crash at Santa Fe Avenue and Leedom Road
Hughson, California (January 21, 2019) – A driver was severely injured after a traffic collision Monday afternoon in the area of Hughson, Modesto, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 1:10 p.m. Monday, at Santa Fe Avenue and Leedom Road near Lakewood Memorial.
As per the CHP officials, a 2014 silver Toyota Camry and another car crashed for reasons still under investigation.
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The Toyota driver was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of a broken right leg.
The name of the victim and their current condition was not immediately known.
One party involved said she was not hurt in the crash and she had kids in her car.
The Toyota sustained significant front-end damage following the collision.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
An investigation is underway.
