Tribal Forestry Worker Injured in Hoopa Accident off Big Hill Road
Hoopa, California (December 10, 2019) – A forestry worker was injured when he fell down a steep ravine in Hostler Creek drainage on Monday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported at around 9:30 a.m. December 9, off Big Hill Road.
The man was doing forest inventory work when he slipped and fell about 300 feet down a ravine.
Emergency crews responded to the incident and requested a Cal Fire helicopter.

The victim was hospitalized with a severe back injury.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
