31-Year-Old Man Killed, Jared Walter Arrested after Hollywood Scooter Crash at Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street
Hollywood, California (April 14, 2019) – A 31-year-old man was killed and a driver arrested after a hit-and-run scooter accident that occurred at an intersection in Hollywood on Saturday morning.
According to a police report, the incident occurred at about 2:50 a.m. April 13, at Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street.
Police said a man riding an electric Lime scooter was struck at the intersection by a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Jared Walter Anderson.
31-Year-Old Man Dies in Hollywood Scooter Crash
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. His identity has not yet been released.
Anderson fled the scene after the incident. A police officer who had witnessed the incident pursued Anderson and arrested him.
Police are investigating the crash.
