Major Injuries Sustained in Interstate 80 Accident near Highway 4
Hercules, California (May 6, 2019) – Major injuries were reported Sunday night following a multi-car accident near Hercules, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck happened at around 9:00 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 80, just west of Highway 4 and involved at least three vehicles.
Details regarding what led to the collision were not immediately released.

An unknown number of parties sustained major injuries in the crash.
A Sig-Alert was issued blocking at least two lanes. As of 9:20 p.m. traffic was backed up approximately 2 miles and there was no estimated time for reopening the roads.
The crash remains under investigation.
