CHP Investigating Hayward Multi-Car Accident at Waverly Avenue and Newcomb Street
Hayward, California (July 25, 2020) – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a Hayward multi-car accident that happened Thursday evening, the California Highway Patrol reported.
CHP said five vehicles collided at about 7:34 p.m. just in front of 19869 Waverly Avenue at the intersection with Newcomb Street.

Alameda County firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and found one person with serious injuries. The patient was transported to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Leandro by Falck for treatment of a laceration to the head and a broken shoulder.
A silver Toyota Camry involved in the crash acquired a broken left-rear wheel and a blue BMW major front-end damage. Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
