Hayfork Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Highway 3 in Douglas City
35-Year-Old Hayfork Man Killed in Douglas City Accident on Highway 3 near Deerlick Springs Road
Douglas City, California (November 18, 2020) – A single-vehicle traffic accident has claimed the life of a 35-year-old Hayfork man Monday morning south of Douglas City.
The deadly crash took place on Highway 3 near Deerlick Springs Road on Monday, November 16.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Hayfork man was driving his 2000 Ford truck northbound on Highway 3 towards Deerlick Springs Road when, for undetermined reasons, he allowed the truck to drift off the roadway and rolled several times down a steep bank.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck and sustained fatal injuries. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation.
