Hancock Park, California (March 30, 2020) – A deadly violent crash claimed two lives early Monday morning in Hancock Park near Hollywood, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

The deadly crash happened at around 2:00 a.m. in the 600 block of North Highland Avenue near Melrose Avenue.

As per the report, two BMW sedans were traveling at high speeds when they lost control and crashed. The impact damaged a fire hydrant and uprooted a palm tree.

One person pinned inside a burning car was rescued by responding firefighters. The patient was rushed to an area hospital with critical injuries.

Two persons suffered fatal injuries and were declared dead at the crash site. The names of the victims were not released.

It was unclear if the vehicles were street racing prior to the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
