Gridley, California (July 12, 2021) – Major injuries were reported Sunday afternoon following a traffic collision in Gridley, the California Highway Patrol said.

On July 11, just before 3:30 p.m., the CHP received a crash report involving a gray SUV and a black truck in the 788 block of Township Road.

Although it was not immediately established how the accident occurred in the afternoon hours, several people were pinned in the wreckage and had to be extricated.

The collision left an unspecified number of victims with major injuries.
