Gregory Alcozar Killed in Bicycle Accident on Highway 126 near Main Street in Piru

Piru, California (October 29, 2020) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a bicyclist who died after being struck by a car in Piru, Ventura County, early Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5:43 a.m. on Highway 126 near Main Street.
36-year-old Gregory Alcozar was riding a bicycle along westbound Highway 126 within traffic lanes when he was hit by a 2016 Nissan Sentra that was also traveling westbound.
Alcozar sustained multiple blunt force injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver, who suffered minor injuries, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
