Driver Injured in Grapevine Crash on 5 Freeway near Smokey Bear Road
Grapevine, California (September 13, 2019) – A driver was hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened on Thursday morning in the area of Grapevine, according to authorities.
The collision occurred at an unspecified time on Thursday, September 11, on 5 Freeway near Smokey Bear Road.
As per the CHP officials, a man was operating a box truck southbound on 5 Freeway when he clipped a big rig and lost his car for unknown reasons. The impact sent the box truck airborne and it crashed through the guardrail and into oncoming traffic in the northbound lanes of the interstate 5.

The box truck driver suffered minor injuries due to the crash and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
