Squaw Valley Man Killed in Gorman Pedestrian Accident on Copco Avenue near Golden State (5) Freeway

Gorman, California (July 3, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle Friday night in Gorman, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened at around 9:28 p.m. Friday, July 2, in the 45100 block of Copco Avenue near the Golden State (5) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said the pedestrian, a 59-year-old Squaw Valley man, was struck by a black Dodge Challenger on Copco Avenue.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian lying on the roadway. Sadly, he was pronounced at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The man driving the Challenger reportedly stopped at the scene after hitting the pedestrian.
Further details regarding the crash were not immediately available.
The collision remains under investigation. Anyone with information or who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the CHP- Newhall office at 661-600-1600.
