3 Critically Hurt in Gorman Single Car Accident on 5 Freeway Near Smokey Bear Road
Gorman, California (September 11, 2020) – A total of four people were hurt following a traffic collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Gorman, a local news source reported.
The single-vehicle accident occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway, near Smokey Bear Road, at around noon September 10.
As per the report, a red Scion reportedly lost control and slammed into an embankment on the freeway’s northbound side.

One person survived with minor injuries, while three other parties sustained critical injuries following the mishap.
Officials requested two helicopters to the crash site to transport the wounded victims to the hospital.
The wreck resulted in the closure of the No. 3 and 4 lanes on the northbound 5 Freeway near Smokey Bear Road for at least one and half hours as investigation and clean-up took place.
The accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
