Rider Seriously in Goleta Bicycle Accident at Farren Road and Vereda Del Padre
Goleta, California (June 6, 2021) – A bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in Goleta, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury collision occurred just before 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 4, at the intersection of Farren Road and Vereda Del Padre, near Calle Real.
CHP said the bicyclist was hit by a vehicle for an undetermined reason at the intersection.
The bicycle rider sustained major injuries and was transported to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The name of the victim and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
