Gloria Morales ID’d as Woman Killed in Gaviota Crash on Highway 101 near Nojoqui Grade

Gaviota, California (March 11, 2021) – The woman who died Wednesday morning following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Gaviota has been identified as Gloria Ashley De Nova Morales, 21, of Guadalupe.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly single-vehicle accident occurred at about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, on Highway 101 at the bottom of the Nojoqui Grade.
The CHP said Morales was driving a Lexus sedan on Highway 101 when, for unknown reasons, she allowed the vehicle to drift off the roadway and crashed down an embankment.
The vehicle then hit a tree and overturned.
Deadly Solo-Car Accident on Highway 101 in Gaviota
Morales, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
