14-Year-Old Boy Seriously Injured in Glenn County Car Crash at County Road 39 and County Road V

Glenn County, California (April 24, 2019) – A 14-year-old boy sustained major injuries in a crash between two vehicles at an intersection in an unincorporated community of Glenn County last Wednesday morning, according to Willows CHP.
The incident was reported at about 7:20 a.m. April 17, at the intersection of County Road 39 and County Road V.
CHP said a a 16-year-old Hamilton City boy was driving a Ford Mustang northbound on County Road V when he stopped for a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 39. He then entered the intersection to continue traveling north but failed to yield to a BMW 5501 that was westbound on County Road 39.
The 17-year-old girl driving the BMW reportedly tried to brake but it was too late and the two vehicles collided.
Teen Seriously Hurt in Glenn County Car Crash
A 14-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Ford sustained major injuries to his right shoulder and was taken to Enloe Medical Center.
The driver of the BMW and her passenger sustained minor injuries.
CHP said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
