San Diego, California (March 27, 2021) – A 16-year-old girl was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Mission Bay Park, San Diego, on Friday afternoon.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 4:48 p.m. March 26, in the area of Dana Landing Road and Ingraham Street.

A 2008 Ford Fusion driven by a 16-year-old girl was traveling southbound in the 2600 block of Ingraham Street and was switching lanes when she crashed into a Ford Escape.

The Ford Escape then rear-ended a Nissan Sentra.

The impact of the collision caused the Ford Fusion to overturn.

A 16-year-old girl who was a passenger in the Ford Fusion was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Escape sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The drivers of the Fusion and Sentra were unhurt.
