Barstow, California (June 2, 2019) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner has identified Gilberto Garcia-Perez, 49, of Hinkley as one of the two people who were killed Friday night in a traffic accident involving two vehicles in Barstow.
The deadly crash was reported at about 10:19 p.m. Friday, May 31 on Old Highway 58 near Irwin Road.
According to the authorities, a pick-up truck collided head-on with a sedan for an unspecified reason on Old Highway 58.

Garcia-Perez and another person were declared dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
