33-Year-Old Georgia Man Killed in Lancaster Crash at 60th Street West near Columbia Way
Lancaster, California (April 3, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday afternoon traffic accident that killed a 33-year-old Georgia man in Lancaster.
The deadly accident occurred at 60th Street West, south of Columbia Way, also known as Avenue.
According to the officials, the 33-year-old was driving a 2010 Mercedes C300 at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop at a stop sign at 60th Street West and entered the intersection.
The man swerved to avoid another vehicle already in the intersection, lost control of the car, went onto the southeast corner dirt lot, crossed onto the southwest corner of 60th Street West and flipped onto its side.
Unfortunately, the vehicle crashed into a concrete block wall.
Sadly, the male driver sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
