Fresno, California (November 18, 2020) – Authorities have identified the bicyclist who died in a hit-and-run accident Friday night in southeast Fresno as George Campos, 62.

The deadly bicycle accident happened near the intersection of Cedar Avenue and North Avenue on Friday, November 13.

A White GMC Yukon was reportedly moving around the railroad crossing arms near Cedar and North. It then traveled at a high-speed rate over the tracks and struck Campos, who was riding his bicycle on the other side.

Fatal Fresno Bicycle Accident Friday Night

Campos was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Meanwhile, the involved driver did not stop to render aid and escaped the scene.

Police are still searching for the hit-and-run motorist.
