Person Seriously Injured in Gaviota Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101
Gaviota, California (November 25, 2020) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle Monday night on a highway in Gaviota, according to a local news source.
The major injury pedestrian accident took place on Highway 101 on Monday, November 23.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was hit by a Toyota Corolla while walking in the right-hand lane of the highway.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and render aid to the pedestrian who sustained major injuries in the crash. The patient was then taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
The name and current condition of the victim were not disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation.
