5 Injured in Gaviota Car Crash on Highway 101 near Mariposa Reina
Gaviota, California (September 26, 2019) – Five people were injured, one critically, after a traffic crash involving multiple vehicles on Wednesday morning in Gaviota, according to a local news source.
The collision occurred at around 7:30 a.m. September 25, on Highway 101 southbound near Mariposa Reina.
The California Highway Patrol said at least three vehicles were involved in the collision.
Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in Gaviota
One person sustained critical injuries and was airlifted from the scene. Three others had minor injuries and two declined medical attention at the scene.
The crash resulted in the closure of all lanes of Highway 101 briefly as the scene was cleared.
The crash remains under investigation.
