Gabriel Garcia Rios Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 15 Freeway in Hesperia
Gabriel Garcia Rios ID’d as Person Killed in Hesperia Car Accident on Interstate 15 Freeway near Oakhill Road
Hesperia, California (March 2, 2019) – The person who was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Hesperia has been identified as Gabriel Garcia Rios, 57, of Hesperia, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner.
The tragic accident took place at around 10:14 a.m. Friday, March 1 on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway, about a half mile south of Oakhill Road.
Details on how the crash happened were not immediately available, but authorities said one of the vehicles, a Ford Explorer, overturned after the impact.
Rios, who was the driver of the Ford, was taken by responding paramedics to Desert Valley Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries at around 11:20 a.m.
No other injuries were reported.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
