Woman Injured in Fresno Pedestrian Accident at W Shields and N Pleasant Avenues
Fresno, California (February 2, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver Monday evening in Fresno, according to a local news source.
The crash happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 1, at the intersection of W Shields and N Pleasant avenues.
Authorities said a woman and a man were attempting to cross the street at the Fresno intersection when, for an unknown reason, a light-colored truck struck the woman.
Pedestrian Injured in Fresno Hit-and-Run Accident
The woman was taken to a hospital with a broken leg. Her name and current condition were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, the driver did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. There was no description of the suspect.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
