Fresno, California (December 28, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by vehicles on Monday morning in Fresno, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident transpired shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Highway 99 at Jensen Avenue exit.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking in the number four lane when an oncoming vehicle struck them.
The crash impact reportedly pushed the pedestrian into the number three lane, where they were hit by at least one other vehicle.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The highway’s southbound lane and the Jensen Avenue off-ramp were closed for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
