Person Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Accident near Van Ness and Jeanne
Fresno, California (June 7, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Central Fresno Friday morning, authorities said.
The deadly accident took place at about 8:30 a.m. near Van Ness and Jeanne.
According to the authorities, the pedestrian was reportedly hit by the train on the tracks near Van Ness and Jeanne.

The person died in the accident. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities said the person might have been attempting to commit suicide.
No further details were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation by the police.
