Fresno, California (January 21, 2019) – A woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in central Fresno early Monday morning, CHP said.

The incident happened on northbound Highway 99 near the Olive off-ramp.

CHP said the woman was walking in the middle of the highway when she was  struck by a car.

The victim died at the scene of the crash. Her identity was not released by the authorities

The driver of the vehicle involved was not injured and remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

CHP is investigating the crash.
