Man Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Crash near Friant Road and Copper River Drive

Fresno, California (February 22, 2019) – A man died in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Thursday evening, Fresno police said.
The crash was reported shortly before 6:30 p.m. February 21, near Friant Road and Copper River Drive in Fresno.
Police responded to the incident and located a dead man in the location. A preliminary investigation showed that the man had been in the crosswalk when a vehicle struck him and fled the scene.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police later located a suspect in Auberry near Table Mountain. The suspect was being interviewed and analysed for DUI.
No further details were released.
The Fresno Police continue to investigate the crash.
