Man Killed in Fresno Bicycle Accident on Church Avenue and Marks Avenue
Fresno, California (January 22, 2019) – A man was struck and killed by a car Tuesday night in the area of Fresno, according to a local news source.
The accident happened a while after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, on Church Avenue and Marks Avenue.
As per the report, a driver was traveling westbound on West Church Avenue approaching Marks Avenue when they were blinded by headlights of an eastbound oncoming car. The driver failed to see a male bicyclist and the two eventually crashed.
Responding firefighters declared the man dead at the scene. The victim’s name was withheld awaiting notification of next of kin.
Authorities said that the bicycle did not have reflective lights and that the rider was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash.
