Man Hospitalized after Fresno Crash at First Street and Ventura Avenue

Fresno, California (February 13, 2021) – A man was hospitalized following a traffic accident at a Fresno intersection Thursday afternoon, according to a local news source.
The crash was reported at about 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, at the intersection of First Street and Ventura Avenue and involved three vehicles.
Authorities said a Ford Escape was heading southbound on First Street at a high rate of speed when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and was broadsided by another vehicle that was traveling westbound.
The force of the impact pushed the Ford into a third vehicle in the turning lane and then slammed into the front porch of a house on the corner of the intersection.
Car Accident at First Street and Ventura Avenue in Fresno
The Ford driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital. His name and current condition were not disclosed.
Two other drivers were uninjured.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
