2 Killed, 2 Hurt in Fresno Car Accident on Highway 168
Fresno, California (June 22, 2019) – Two people were killed and two others injured in a traffic crash that involved two vehicles in Fresno Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision occurred at about 10:00 a.m. June 22, on Highway 168 near Vineyard Lane.
The accident happened when a white GMC slide across the highway, crossing over into other lanes of traffic and hit a truck. The initial report indicated that the GMC was approaching a curve in the roadway when it went up onto the embankment and flipped over onto the driver’s side.
2 Killed After Car Crash in Fresno, June 22
An adult and a minor riding in the GMC were pronounced dead at the scene following the crash. A female party driving the truck suffered moderate injuries. A -5-year-old kid was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center with severe injuries.
The accident resulted in the closure of both the eastbound and westbound lanes while the officers conducted the investigation.
No further details regarding the wreck have been released.
