Fresno, California (June 12, 2021) – One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a multi-vehicle pileup that happened Friday afternoon in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Three vehicles collided at around 1:21 p.m. on westbound Highway 180, just east of the Peach Avenue off-ramp.
The report said at least one person was trapped inside one of the cars after the impact. The party was conscious and breathing.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the motorists.
The firefighters extricated the party who was pinned in the vehicle shortly after they arrived.
At least one person who sustained major injuries in the collision was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The report did not mention the cause of the crash, but CHP is investigating.
