1 Killed, Juan Martinez Arrested after Fatal Fremont Crash on Blacow Road and Southwood Drive
Fremont, California (March 19, 2019) – Police arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of drunk driving after being involved in a fatal collision on Sunday evening in Fremont.
The two-vehicle collision, which happened at around 6:17 p.m. March 17, occurred near Blacow Road and Southwood Drive.
As per the police, a minivan driven by Juan Martinez collided with a Honda Civic at the intersection for unknown reasons.
The crash resulted in the death of a passenger in the involved Civic .

The policed confirmed that Martinez fled from the scene on foot after the accident but was later located and taken into custody.
Central Avenue was closed for several hours following the crash.
The investigation is still ongoing.
