Man Killed in Fremont Pedestrian Accident on Highway 880 near Fremont Boulevard
Fremont, California (January 4, 2018) – A man was fatally hit by multiple vehicles on a highway in Fremont early Friday morning, CHP said.
The crash was reported at about 3:30 a.m. on Interstate Highway 880 south of Fremont Boulevard.
According to the CHP, the man was walking in the highway when multiple vehicles hit him.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
The drivers who hit the victim did not remain at the scene. It’s unclear whether the drivers knew that they had struck the victim.
The northbound lanes of the highway were blocked as the officials cleared the scene.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
