Oxnard Man Francisco Morales ID’d as Victim Killed in Ojai Fall Accident near Libbey Avenue
Ojai, California (April 27, 2019) – The man who died after an accident where he fell from a ladder while performing roofing works in Ojai Thursday morning has been identified as Francisco Ruiz Morales, 63, of Oxnard, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The accident was reported at about 11:30 p.m. April 25, in the 800 block of Libbey Avenue.
The Ventura County Fire Department responded to the accident and found the victim unconscious at the scene. A preliminary investigation showed that Morales was a Sebastian Roofing employee and fell off a 10-foot ladder.

Morales was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities said the incident is being investigated as an industrial accident.
The California Division of Occupational Health and Safety is handling the investigation.
