Fountain Valley, California (July 11, 2021) – A pedestrian in a wheelchair died after being struck by two vehicles early Saturday morning at a Fountain Valley intersection, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash was reported shortly 2:30 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at the intersection of Euclid Street and Warner Avenue.

As per the report, the pedestrian, only identified as a man in his 50s, was trying to cross Euclid Street westbound on Warner Avenue when a minivan heading northbound Euclid hit him.

The man was then run over by an SUV.

Pedestrian in Wheelchair Dies in Fountain Valley Crash

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the pedestrian lying on the road. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.

Both drivers of the minivan and the SUV stopped at the scene and were cooperative, police said. Alcohol or drugs was not considered a factor in the collision.

The intersection of Euclid Street and Warner Avenue was blocked for hours while the investigation and cleanup took place.
