Police Officer Among 2 Injured in Fountain Valley Car Accident at Slater Avenue and Magnolia Street
Fountain Valley, California (October 4, 2020) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Sunday morning in Fountain Valley, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 3:02 a.m. at the intersection of Slater Avenue and Magnolia Street.
According to the police, a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling westbound on Slater when it ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into a Fountain Valley police cruiser that headed northbound on Magnolia Street.
2 Injured in 2-Car Crash at Slater Avenue and Magnolia Street
A police officer in the cruiser and the SUV driver, a 37-year-old man from Buena Park, were hospitalized with minor injuries.
It was not clear if intoxication was a factor in the mishap.
The crash remains under investigation.
