Fontana, CA: Teenager Struck, Killed by Vehicle on 10 Freeway near Sierra Avenue

Fontana, California (February 1, 2019) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning in Fontana has been identified as an 18-year-old San Bernardino man, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident was reported just after 5:00 a.m. January 31 on the 10 Freeway near Sierra Avenue.

According to the CHP, the teenager was walking along the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway when, for an unknown reason, he was hit by a westbound 2005 gray Toyota Corolla operated by a 49-year-old Rialto man.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of his family.

The crash remains under investigation.
