Fontana, California (May 11, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a suspected hit-and-run accident that occurred in Fontana on May 10.
At least two automobiles, including a black Honda CRV, crashed on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 Freeway at Cherry Avenue just around 10:20 p.m.
Although the CHP did not establish how the collision occurred in the afternoon hours, one of the involved motorists escaped the scene after the accident.
Officials affirmed at least one person was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries suffered in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
