Two Hurt in Fontana Car Crash with Big Rig on Merrill and Catawba Avenues
Fontana, California (February 11, 2019) – Two people were injured in a crash involving a flatbed truck in Fontana on Saturday night, according to the authorities.
The wreck was reported at about 8:51 p.m. February 9 at the intersection of Merrill and Catawba avenues.
The incident occurred when a blue Toyota Corolla was struck by a flatbed truck. Details on the events leading up to the collision were not immediately released.
Firefighters used the “jaws of life” to free a trapped victim in the car. A second occupant of the car was also pulled out by the firefighters.
The two victims were transported to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The Fontana Police Department is working to determine the cause of the crash.
