Florin, California (May 28, 2021) – One person was injured Thursday night in a hit-and-run crash at an intersection in Florin, according to a report from the California Highway Patrol.

Just after 9:30 p.m.  Thursday, May 27, authorities received a report about the accident in the area of Gerber Road and Skybrook Lane, near Southwoods Park.

Two vehicles collided for undetermined reasons at the intersection, the CHP report states.

One person was treated for undisclosed injuries at the scene. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately disclosed.

According to the CHP report, one of the drivers involved in the crash fled the scene after the crash. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or its driver.

Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.

The crash prompted the closure of the intersection of Gerber Road and Skybrook Lane. No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
