Tustin Teen Flor Solano Hurt in Fatal Costa Mesa Crash on 405 Freeway
Costa Mesa, California (March 28, 2019) – A Tustin teenager was injured in a fatal multi-car accident in Costa Mesa Wednesday morning, according to the CHP.
The deadly accident happened at around 4:45 a.m. March 27, on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway near the Harbor Boulevard exit.
As per the report, Aldagracia Cruz-Penaloza, 42, of Tustin, had been involved in a collision with another driver when she stopped her 2017 Toyota in the fast lane.
As Cruz-Penaloza and her passenger, Flor Solano, 18, of Tustin, were standing outside their vehicle, a 2015 Audi crashed into her and the vehicle. The impact pushed the Toyota into the number 3 lane, where it was hit by a 2000 Chevrolet.

Cruz-Penaloza died in the crash.
Solano and the other driver were both hospitalized with minor injuries.
The incident is under investigation.
