Firefighter Hospitalized after Ventura Crash on Pacific Coast Highway

Ventura, California (July 17, 2021) – A firefighter from the Ventura County Fire Department was injured in a motorcycle collision near Ventura on Thursday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The incident occurred on Pacific Coast Highway near Solimar Beach.
The 22-year-old firefighter was riding a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Pacific Coast Highway when he was struck by a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer that was making a left turn into the beach parking lot.

The impact ejected the motorcyclist and threw him into a parked vehicle along the west shoulder of the PCH.
The rider was taken to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 19-year-old Santa Paula woman, was not injured.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
