Firebaugh, California (May 30, 2019) – Minor injuries were sustained in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday morning in Firebaugh, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at about 10:40 a.m. on northbound 5 Freeway, just south of Nees Avenue off-ramp.

A semi-truck and a Ford SUV were involved in the collision. The semi ended up about 100 yards into an orchard, and the Ford overturned in the crash.

Paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that minor injuries were sustained in the accident.

Both vehicles were towed away from the collision scene.

CHP is investigating the accident.
