Firebaugh, California (October 14, 2019) – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured Sunday night after colliding with a vehicle on 5 Freeway in Firebaugh, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at about 9:46 p.m. on 5 Freeway near John “Chuck” Erreca Northbound Rest Area.
First responders found the rider in the second lane of the freeway. The motorcycle was on the right-hand side of the freeway while the car was at the center divider.
Motorcycle Rider Seriously Hurt in Firebaugh Crash
The motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital with major injuries.
No further details were released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
