Pico Rivera, California (April 20, 2021) – The man who was hit and killed by a vehicle Saturday evening in Pico Rivera has been identified as 29-year-old Fernie Lopez .

The fatal hit-and-run collision took place in the 9000 block of Reichling Lane shortly before 6:30 p.m., on April 17.

Lopez was walking away after talking with occupants of a dark-colored Chevrolet Suburban when the driver hit him and fled the scene.

Fernie sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the crash site.
