Favio Valencia Jr. Hospitalized after Keyes DUI Crash at Keyes Road and Mountain View Road
Keyes, California (June 20, 2021) – Favio Valencia Jr. of Patterson, was injured after being involved in a deadly car crash at an intersection in Keyes, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 10:10 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the intersection of East Keyes Road and Mountain View Road.
CHP said Valencia Jr. was driving a 1998 Toyota 4Runner westbound on Keyes Road when a 2009 Toyota Camry that had stopped for a red light on southbound Mountain View pulled in front of him.
The 4Runner ultimately hit the Camry on the driver’s side.

The Camry’s driver, Jose M. Reyes Morales, of Merced, was trapped in the wreckage and was extricated by emergency crews.
Morales was then transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Valencia was also transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with minor injuries.
According to the CHP, Morales was suspected of being impaired at the time of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
