Fairmont, California (June 11, 2021) – Two people were critically injured Friday evening in a car crash in the Fairmont area of Antelope Valley,  according to authorities.

Just after 5:30 p.m., officers received a report about the accident in the area of 160th Street and Avenue.

Authorities said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason near the intersection of 160th Avenue and D Street.

One of the vehicles involved sustained heavy damage to the passenger side door while the second vehicle had front-end damage. The crash sparked a 100-acre brush fire in the area.

2 Critical after Fairmont Collision

Two patients were airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. Their names have not been disclosed.
