Rider Hurt in Fair Oaks Bicycle Crash on 5484 Dewey Drive
Fair Oaks, California (December 12, 2020) – A juvenile cyclist was hurt after being struck by a car Friday afternoon in Fair Oaks, the California Highway Patrol said.
A driver of a vehicle called authorities at around 1:32 p.m. reporting that she had hit a bicyclist in the 5484 block of Dewey Street, just in front of Safeway.
Sacramento firefighters alongside paramedics responded to the scene to find a 15- or 16-year-old juvenile with minor injuries. The victim was possibly transported to the hospital for treatment.
The vehicle involved was partially blocking the roadway.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
